Scope of Work
The position of Supervisor reports to the CEO and supervises clients and direct care providers. This position primarily involves direct supervision of all programs, activities, clients and direct care providers.
Duties of the Vocational Supervisor
- Ensures that direct care providers are providing a safe, educational, fun environment for clients.
- Ensures clients personal needs are being met; medical, food, hygiene, clothing etc.
- Ensures facility and vehicles meet all health and safety requirements.
- Continuous interactions with clients; conversations, activities etc.
- Develops client’s ISP and daily activities.
- Reviews ISP, programs, records, files to ensure all record keeping is complete and accurate.
- Monitors implementations of ISP, activities etc. to ensure programs are being ran with consistency and
efficiently and effectively
- Complete required quarterly, 6 month reports; ISP, medication charts, client funds etc.
- Report any health, safety and personal welfare issues immediately to supervisor.
- Reviews Incident, Seizure and Observation Reports as needed. Completes necessary follow up.
- Work closely with clients, employees and CEO to understand and learn each client’s
medical status, personality, preferences, dislikes strengths, needs and programs.
- Attend to medical & behavioral emergencies.
- Attend ISP and special meetings. Complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate with CEO, employees, families, social workers and community.
- Provides training for employees.
- Supervise, monitor, direct, evaluate, discipline, evaluate and make recommendations regarding employees.
- Make recommendations regarding client’s ISP.
- Monitor employee Timesheets, employee hours and submit Timesheets.
- Monitor employee training to ensure all required certifications are current. Schedule retraining as needed.
- Assist in interviewing and hiring.
- Transportation-Driving.
- Establish GSE and CBE jobs.
- Keep updated with labor law.
- Keep updated with DDD Voc. Rules, Policies and Procedures.
- Keep, monitor client times sheets.
- Time Studies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Documented Experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR & First Aid
- Article IX
- Client Intervention Training
- Behavior Management
- Medication Technician

As the Vocational Supervisor you will be required to work outside your regular scheduled shift by completing paperwork, attending meetings, taking phone calls and transporting clients.
For work completed after or before regular scheduled work hours, you may use comp. time within that pay period,
IF schedule permits and CEO approves.
Additionally, you will be expected to handle phone calls outside of your regular scheduled shift. These calls typically are very short and require minimal amount of time. You may encourage employees and parents to call during your regular scheduled shift, to the maximum extent possible, in order to minimize these calls.
Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:00p regular scheduled shift and other times as needed.
